Professional Errors & Omissions Liability Insurance
The Opticians Association of Canada continues to offer a master Professional Liability Insurance Program for all members. The policy protects members from lawsuits for damages claimed by a third party, resulting from a professional error or omission or negligent act, committed during the course of their activities as an “Optician”.

Don’t Assume Your Employer’s Insurance Will Cover You For Disciplinary Actions If your employer’s insurance covers you it is important to find out what that coverage is.  You might also want to consider the possibility of a situation in which your best interest conflicts with your employer’s best interest.  It has happened that in such a situation the insurance company did not cover the employee.
